Rocky Road

"And here's our room!" Lizzie smiled, opening the door to a spacious room.

It had three rooms, one with one bed, and one with two beds.

"I CALL THE TWO BED ROOM!" Felicity beamed.

Gee, I wonder who she wants to share it with.

"I'll share it with Lizzie!" Felicity's green eyes sparkled.
"Okay! Prudence, you don't mind being alone, right?" Lizzie asked.
"No, it's fine!" I lied through my teeth.

I then walked to my room, then threw my bags down.
"Happy new year." I groaned.

I walked over to the window and pulled back the curtains.

I stood in amazement, the Rocky Mountains looked so pure and untouched.

"Abbey would love it here," I sighed, then immediately shook my head.

Forget her my mind advised.

Then I remembered my dilemma now.

Felicity is taking Lizzie away from me.
But, didn't I originally take her away from Felicity?

DANG! This is too confusing!

"Prudence! Mrs. Hodge just called, it's time to get ready for rehearsal!" Lizzie poked her head in the doorway.

"Okay." I sighed, then pulled the curtains back into their original position.

If I don't get in another post before midnight, Happy New Year Everyone!

"RUN!" Marisol yelled.

Callie, Cindie, my new sister Felicity, and Jess all bolted to stop a taxi man.

While Marisol, Julia, and Sonali all waddled out of the train station with all of our bags.

"Thank-you!" I smiled to the taxi driver, then walked back to the trunk to put in all of our stuff.

We flew into Colorado and were headed to The Rockies Resort.
That's where the Chorus got booked to sing at a New Years Eve Party for one of Mrs. Hodge's friends.

"When are Lizzie, Rebecca, and Julie flying in?" Julia asked, pushing in one of Becca's MASSIVE sparkly pink suitcases.

"Later today." Felicity explained, helping Julia.

[Yesterday all of this happened.]

"No," Marisol started, pointing to three girls running out of the train station.

"BECCA BUG!" Rebecca screamed
"BECKSTER!" Becca yelled, crashing into Rebecca and hugging her tight.

Rebecca and Becca are twin sisters, they look almost EXACTLY alike.
The only way you can tell them apart, is by how they dress.

EVERYTHING Becca owns is covered in rhinestones.
While Rebecca has a bit of an obsession with designer clothes.

I turned my head to see Julie and Julia running towards each other as if they haven't seen each other in 23 years.

"JULES!" Julia cried, hugging Julie.
"J-BUG!" Julie yelled, returning the hug.

Now with Julia and Julie, you can tell which one is which because of the fact that Julie now has braces, and Julia doesn't.

I turned to a certain blond-haired, blue-eyed girl running towards me and attacking me with a bear hug.
"LIZ!" I beamed.
"PRU!" Elizabeth yelled.

Now Elizabeth and I aren't twins, but she's my best friend. No doubt about tha-

"LIZZIE!" Felicity screamed, running towards Elizabeth.

"LISSIE!" Liz beamed, then caught Felicity in a hug.

"Come on, Prudence" Charity's soft voice called out.
I smiled, but Charity's odd resemblance to Abbey kind of stood in the way of our friendship blossoming.

New Year, New Friends, Prudence.
My mind seemed to whisper.

"LET'S GET TO THE RESORT!" Marisol called out then we all raced into the huge limo-sized taxi.

Tonight is the night we perform, I'll tell you all how it goes tomorrow!

"PRUDENCE, YOU HAVE A PHONE CALL!" Chrissa called up to me.

I was in my room, reading a magazine. I picked up my phone.

"Hello?" I asked.
"Hey Prudence!" A familiar voice sang.
"ABBEY!" I beamed! I hadn't heard from Abbey for a whole week.
"What's up?" I asked.
"Nothing much." She said.

I had to tell her something.
I mean, it might have sounded mean, but it's what I was feeling.

"Abbey.." I sighed.
"What?" She asked.
"I think..." I trailed off, I couldn't find it in my heart to tell her what needed to be said.
"What?" She repeated.
"I think, since we probably won't ever see each other again, that we should find new best friends." I felt like crying.
"What? Why?" She asked.
"Because, I think that I'm the only thing pulling you back from becoming the best Abbey Holland you can be. Even though you're pretty awesome." I breathed.
She had a pause.
"That's not what I meant!" I exclaimed, I didn't want to stop being her friend, I just wanted her to find a better one.
There was no use stopping her. Once Abbey starts a rant, it's nearly impossible to stop her.
"AND ANOTHER THING! YOU ARE SUCH A WITCH AND YOU HAVE SOME MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH YOUR LIFE! I HOPE YOU DIE ALONE." She yelled and hung up. Oh, and instead of 'witch' she said a word that rhymes with that, but starts with a 'B.'

I felt like crying, then I realized something.

If she was worth crying for, she wouldn't have said that.

I put the phone back, slid down my wall, and much to my dismay....

Cried my heart out.

"Change better be a good thing" I muttered walking home from Rebecca, Julie, & Elizabeth's house.

Today, Rebecca unveiled that she is twins with one of my newest sisters, Becca.

My mind is like swimming right now.

Too much change for Pru to handle.

1) Abbey moving away.
2) Molly having a crush on Keith after hating him for so long.
3) Julie changing her name to Julia.
4) Charity moving back.
5) Nathan telling me he loved me.
6) Melanie getting another doll for Christmas.
7) Julia and Julie being twins.

Of course, and now..

8) Becca and Rebecca being twins.

[a REAL post will come soon]

Disco Bell Rock

"Come on Pru!" Elizabeth called as she pulled me into the auditorium.

Today was the day of AGPPA's 1st Annual Winter Dance, which the Chorus was supposed to perform at.

"I can't do this." I groaned. The butterflies in my stomach were going crazy.
"Come on, Prudence! Yes you can! You sing in front of the Chorus EVERY week." Elizabeth smiled.
"But this is different. The Chorus is like my second family, the whole school..... Not so much." I shuddered.
"Come on, Prudence. We're going to be late." Elizabeth rolled her eyes and walked with me to the dressing room.

"PRU!" Molly and Callie chorused. They were in our costumes which were either red dresses (Molly, Elizabeth, & Chrissa) or white dresses. (Casey, Jessica, & Callie)

"Where's my dress?" I asked Mrs. Hodge as she came in to check on us.
"Oh Prudence. You're going to be singing the solo. The crowd needs to distinguish you from the rest of the Chorus." Mrs. Hodge smiled.
"So, I'll be like the center of everything?" I asked.
"Yeah! Come on, I'll show you your dress." She smiled, then walked with me to the clothes rack.
"There." She pointed to a black bag over a hanger.
"Oh my gosh." I gushed. It was perfect! It was a knee-length, sleeveless gold dress.
"Where did you get this?" I asked.
"Oh, I have my sources." She smiled.
"Mrs. Hudson and Sonali?" I asked.
"Yeah!" She laughed and I joined in.
She checked her watch. "Okay! Girls, I will go call in the boys to come in here so we can warm up." Mrs. Hodge clapped her hands together and walked to the boy's dressing room.
"Wow Prudence! That dress is GORGEOUS!" Elizabeth gushed.
"It looks amazing with your black hair." Molly complimented.
Jessica walked by, took a look at me, and smiled
"Cute." Then walked over to the make-up mirror.
"Thanks." I responded.
"You all look really cute too." I smiled.
"Prudence, I need to tell you something." Chrissa sighed, pulling me to a side of the room.
"What?" I asked.
"Abbey....." She started. The look on her face said she didn't know how to say it.
"What?" I repeated.
"Abbey......... Went......... Home." She whispered.

My heart shattered.
"WHAT?! HOW?! WHEN?!" I yelled.
"She went back to Massachusetts on a plane at three o'clock in the morning on Tuesday." Chrissa sighed.
"Oh my God." I just whispered. My best friend was gone?

Without a second thought?
Or even a goodbye?

"The boys are here!" Keith announced.
Molly rolled her eyes "We're not blind, Hudson."
Keith looked at Molly and immediately was at a loss for words.
"What?" Molly asked. "Do I have something in my teeth?"
"No, Keith here's just enjoying the vie-" Ryan came up behind Keith and patted his back, but couldn't finish the sentence because Keith elbowed him in the ribs.
"Sorry, just calling it like I see it." Ryan put both of his hands up, then walked to Casey.

"Where's Nathan? Or did he leave too?" I asked nastily.
"Prudence, I'm really sorry." Chrissa sighed.
"Well you knew, but you didn't tell me." I fired.
"I'm so sorry." Chrissa whispered then walked over to Matt.

I heard footsteps coming up behind me, but I didn't care enough to look.

My best friend was....... Gone.
What was I going to do?

"PEACH!" An all-too-familiar voice called out.
I spun around "Hey." I glum ed at Nathan.
"What's wrong, Pru?" He asked, holding my cheek.
"Abbey's gone." I whispered on the verge of tears.
"What?" He asked.
I explained it to him, everything.
"Oh my goodness, Prudence! I am so very sorry." He apologized.
"Sorry's not going to bring her back." I sighed.
"Well, on the bright side. You look beautiful." He smiled.
I blushed, but not as intensely as I would have without knowing about Abbey's departure.
"Thanks, Nathan. You look amazing as well." I complimented, he did. The black suit he was wearing looked awesome on him.

"OKAY EVERYONE, GATHER AROUND!" Mrs. Hodge called out as soon as we all got back stage.
"We have 3 songs to perform. 'Jingle Bell Rock,' 'Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree' and 'Merry Christmas Darling.'" She instructed.
We all nodded.
"Okay, I'll go introduce you all." She smiled, then turned to walk on stage.
"Mrs. Hodge! Wait!" I stopped her.
"Yes, Prudence?" She questioned.
"Can I sing something else instead of 'Merry Christmas Darling?'" I asked.
She thought about it for a second.
"Sure." She smiled.
"Thank-you!" I thanked then walked back to where the Chorus was sitting.

"Okay, now we have a very special treat for all of you!" Mrs. Migliori, the School's principal, announced.
A low mutter scattered across the crowd. I looked out and saw all of my sisters and Julie and Rebecca.
"Mrs. Hodge will tell you all more about it." Mrs. Migliori smiled then motioned for Mrs. Hodge to come on the stage.

When Mrs. Hodge walked on stage, there was an abundant amount of applause.
"WOOOOOO!" I heard Marisol scream.
"Merry Christmas, my little Retro Kiddies." Mrs. Hodge joked. The crowd laughed.
"We, as in the Chorus and I, have some Christmas cheer to spread." Mrs. Hodge smiled. The mention of the Chorus caused all of my sisters & friends to scream " GO PRUDENCE, MOLLY, CALLIE, CHRISSA AND LIZZIE!"
"I bet you're all wondering what it is. Well why don't we just show you?" She smiled, then walked off stage and pulled the curtains to that they were spread on the stage.
"GO GO GO!" She whispered.

We all got in position.
Callie and Tyler were back to back. Same with Casey and Ryan. Molly and Keith. Peter & Jessica. Elizabeth and Jake. I was standing alone in the middle with my arms in a 'V' shape and Nathan behind me.
"Prudence and Nathan! Get back to back with her!" Mrs. Hodge pointed to a new girl in the exact same gold dress as me. I motioned for her to come back-to-back with me, which she did.

We all were wearing Santa hats that matched our outfits, so Red hats for Molly, Elizabeth, and Chrissa. Or white hats for Callie, Casey, and Jessica. All the boys were SUPPOSED to be wearing black Santa hats, but they decided that wearing Reindeer ears were better. The new girl and I were both wearing metallic gold hats.

"Hi, I'm Charity." She whispered.
"CHARITY?!" I yelled.

Abbey had a cousin who looked EXACTLY like her named Charity. Charity and I were really good friends.
"PRUDENCE?!" She yell-whispered.
We hugged.
"It's been so long!" I whispered.
"I know!" She laughed.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Abbey sent me to live with you and your sisters." She smiled.
"Oh really?" I raised an eyebrow, Abbey was very surprising.
"Yeah! Oh and Abbey says 'Sing out, Prudence!'" Charity informed.
I laughed.
"See Prudence. Abbey still cares about you." Nathan smiled. I nodded.

"One, Two, One, Two, Three, Four." Cindie called off and motioned for the band to start playing 'Jingle Bell Rock.'

"Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell Rock." Everyone sang in harmony.
"Jingle bells swing" The girls sang.
"and jingle bells ring" The guys sang.
"Snowin' and blowin' up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun" We all danced.

"Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time" The boys spun around the girl they were partnered up with, Nathan spun both Charity and I around.

"Dancin' and prancin' in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air" We all sang.

"What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go glidin' in a one-horse sleigh"
Casey walked to center stage and sang AMAZINGLY.
When she sang 'rock' she acted like she was playing a guitar.

"Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet" Charity joined in, skipping to her in
"Jingle around the clock" They both walked around in a circle.
"Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin' feet
That's the jingle bell rock" They grabbed hands and danced.

We all took a little dance break. Molly and Keith started doing stunts in the center stage. She did a cartwheel and he caught her.

I looked out to the crowd, they were dancing too!

"Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock" We all formed a line and grabbed hands.
"Jingle bells chime" Half of the people squatted down.
"in jingle bell time" The other half squatted down when the first half stood up.
"Dancin' and prancin' in Jingle Bell Square" Jake did this weird Disco move, so we all did Disco moves.
"In the frosty air" We all chorused while doing the '70's justice.

"What a bright time, it's the right time" Casey went back to the center.
"To rock the night away" She pointed up, then down, like she was at a Disco.
"Jingle bell time is a swell time.
To go gliding' in a one-horse sleigh" She went back, then slid up to the front of the stage.

"Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet" Ryan went behind Casey, and picked her up.
"Jingle around the clock" He spun her while singing.
"Mix and a-mingle in the jingling' feet" He set her down, and they moved their feet in and outwards.
"That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell" They sang.
"That's the jingle bell rock!" We all sang and posed.

The crowd erupted in cheers. I hugged Casey, "You were amazing! Same to you Ryan!" I smiled. They thanked me. The curtains closed and Mrs. Hodge went back to the microphone.
"Okay! The next song is for all of you little rockers out there." She did the 'rock n roll' sign with her hands, and walked back.

We all got into a new positon.

They put up white stairs while Mrs. Hodge was introducing us. We all were sitting on them.

Molly, Jake, Elizabeth, and Keith were sitting on the bottom step.
Chrissa, Jessica, Matt, and Charity were sitting on the second to bottom step.
Casey, Ryan, Myself, and Nathan were sitting on the middle step.
Tyler, Callie, and Peter were sitting on the top step, well Callie was standing.

The intro to Brenda Lee's "Rocking Around The Christmas Tree" played and everyone except Callie harmonized.

"Rocking' around the Christmas tree." Callie sang, taking one step down the stairs.
"At the Christmas Party hop." She spun around in time with the guitar.
"Mistletoe hung were you can see.
Every couple tries to stop." She walked down in tune with the guitar.

"Rocking' Around the Christmas tree.
Let the Christmas spirit ring"
She got to the center stage and spun on her heels.

"Later we'll have some pumpkin pie and well do some caroling" She acted like she was smelling Pumpkin Pie and then acted like a caroler.

She slid and made jazz hands then sang;
"You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear;
Voices singing lets be jolly" Everyone stood up, posed, and sang;

"deck the halls with boughs of holly!"

"Rocking around the Christmas tree, have a happy holiday" Callie gave the crowd a thumbs up.
"Everyone dancing merrily in the new old-fashioned way" She sang then we all erupted into dance moves while Trevor, a kid from the band, played the Saxophone solo.

The boys picked the girls up, twisted them, put them down. All while Callie was doing either cartwheels or high-fiving everyone in the front row. Then Callie started dancing like Michael Jackson out of random, I looked at Marisol, who was laughing hysterically.

"You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear" Callie sang and put her hand by her ear.
"Voices singing lets be jolly" She made her way back to the stairs and turned around to sing with us;
"deck the halls with boughs of holly!"

"Rocking around the Christmas tree, have a happy holiday" Callie sang on the bottom step by Jake and Elizabeth.
"Everyone dancing merrily in the" She sang.
"New." She went up one step.
"Old." She went up the next.
"Fashioned." She went up the next.
"Way!!!" She held the note while everyone freestyle danced, then sat down and she posed.

The crowd, once again, erupted in cheers.

Mrs. Hodge signaled for the curtains to be closed.
"Good job, Miss Callie! Okay well for our last song of the night... Well it's a surprise to me too! I hope you enjoy it!" Mrs. Hodge smiled, then jetted back to the side of the stage.

I looked around at everyone in the Chorus. They were all having a great time. I wanted something to celebrate that. I needed to look in my head. I turned to Charity.
"What's your favorite Christmas song?" I asked her.
"Oh me? Uh. Hmm. Hard decision. There's so many awesome ones!" She smiled.
"Can you pick one?" I asked.
"I will have my iPod pick for me." She smiled and pulled her blue iPod nano out of her hat. She shuffled it.
"Hey, you know the Beatles?" She asked.
Callie heard and scoffed.
"Yeah, I mean. I'm named after one of their songs." I smiled.
"Well, my iPod says to sing Paul McCartney's 'Wonderful Christmastime'" She smiled then went to tell the band.

I tried to bust the nerves. Nathan walked up to me.
"Prudence. Stop fretting, you're going to be amazing. Like always." He kissed my cheek and went into his position. Everyone seemed to know which song I was singing because Chrissa, being the Paul Obsessed girl she is, yelled "OHMYGOD YAY!"

Cindie played the intro on her keyboard as the curtains opened.
We all sat on this big box and moved our heads all the same way and were in time wit the keyboard.

I sat in the middle, next to Nathan and Chrissa, and began singing.
"The mood is right.
The spirit's up." I pointed up.

"We're here tonight, and that's enough." I nodded and sang.

"Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime" We all chorused.

"The party's on" Peter sang.
"The feel ins here" Jessica sang.
"That only comes" Elizabeth sang.
"This time of year" Jake sang.

"Simply having a wonderful Christmastime" I sang and walked in a jazz square.
"Simply having a wonderful Christmastime" We all sang and Nathan grabbed my hand and spun me around.

"The choir of children sing their song" I sang and motioned to a group of kids.

Nathan, Callie, Chrissa, Jake, Matt, Tyler, and Elizabeth all got in a line and sang;
"Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding"
"O-o-o-o-oh!" They sang higher and higher.
"Ohhhhhhh" They sang again higher and higher.
"Do do do do do do do" They sang.

Then was a small solo, which Callie and Chrissa went to center stage and shimmied.

"We're Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime." We all harmonized.

"The word is out" I sang in a whisper.
"About the town" Nathan sang.
"So lift a glass." Nathan sang, and picked me up and raised me.
"Ahhh don't look down" I sang in the air.

"Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime" We all got into a cluster and sang.

"The choir of children sing their song" Matt sang, taking center stage.
"They've practiced all year long" Chrissa nodded, standing by him.

Me, Charity, Peter, Jessica, Casey and Ryan all took the harmonizing parts.
"Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding dong
Dong, Dong"

"The party's on" Jake sang to Elizabeth, taking her hand.
"The spirits up" Elizabeth sang, pointing up.
"We're here tonight" Jake sang, and moon walked past Elizabeth, causing her to chuckle.
"And that's enough" They harmonized.
"Ooooh!" Elizabeth sang.

"Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
We're Simply having a wonderful Christmastime" They sang and we joined in.

Another solo caused Jessica to pull Peter out into center stage and they began to dance around. Peter was sticking his stomach out, trying to be Santa. Which made Jessica act like Mrs. Claus.

"The Mood is right." I sang.
"The spirit's up." The rest of the chorus sang.
"We're here tonight" Elizabeth sang, waltzing next to me.
"OH! And that's enough." We harmonized.

"Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime" Everyone came around in a circle and started clapping and singing.

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh" We all sang getting lower and lower in both range and we were squatting lower and lower.

"Christmastime!" I stood up and sang the best I could.

The song ended, and everyone started clapping really loudly.
We all grabbed hands and bowed.

I didn't know if I would be able to go a whole 2 weeks without my Chorus buddies. I mean, sure I'd be with my family, but I'd want to be with my friends too!

Mrs. Hodge came out and said "HAPPY HOLIDAYS!" We all repeated it, and went to the dance.

Nathan grabbed my hand.
"When am I going to give you your Christmas present?" He asked.
"Next Thursday." I smiled. He smiled and said "Okay" Then kissed my cheek and pulled back into the life of the dance.

After the dance. Mrs. Hodge called us all back into the school.
"You were all amazing! The best! I'm so very proud of you! I will miss you all dearly over the break. So get a BUNCH of rest and relax! I will see you all in January!" She smiled then we all left.

Tomorrow is a half day, and Mrs. Hodge can't call a Chorus meeting on a half day, so we all waved.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS, MRS. HODGE! WE LOVE YOU!" We all yelled. Mrs. Hodge looked like she was about to cry. I waved and ran back and hugged her.
"Have a Merry Christmas" I smiled then walked to the rest of my sisters, and my newest sister, Charity.

"So how do you like AGPPA?" I asked.
"If THAT'S what every dance is like, then I LOVE IT" She smiled, then we ran home.

Love Is All You Need.

"YAY! YOU GOT BACK WITH HIM!" I yelled happily.

Yesterday was The Beatles assignment for Chorus, and Jake and Elizabeth got back together!

Elizabeth smiled and giggled like a little kid. Jake smiled and chuckled a bit.

Jake had just apologized to Lizzie by singing The Beatles' version of "Dizzy Miss Lizzy," which OUR Lizzie L O V E D!

"Fantastic job, Jake! Your an AMAZING singer!" Mrs. Hodge complimented. Jake smiled "Thanks, Mrs. H."

"Okay next up is......" Mrs. Hodge trailed off, looking for someone to sing.
"PRUDENCE!" I jumped up in shock.

"Can someone go before me?" I asked sincerely.
"Sure, dear. How about....... Callie!" Mrs. Hodge proposed.

Callie ran up to the stage before anyone could protest.
She scanned the crowd, flashed me a smile, waved to Molly,
then began to belt out the words to "I Don't Want To Spoil The Party" by her boys, The Beatles.

"I don't want to spoil the party, so I'll go.
I would hate my disappointment to show." She made a gesture that said 'Harmonize!'
I agreed.

"There's Nothing for me here, so I will disappear!" Callie's melodious voice sang while Casey and I sang 'Ooooh, ooooh.'

"If he turns up while I'm gone please let me know." Callie said, looking for Peter. Just then, like clockwork, Peter showed up.

"I've had a drink or two and I don't care,
There's no fun in what I do if he's not there,
I wonder what went wrong I've waited far too long,
I think I'll take a walk and look for him." Callie said as she spun around, but she didn't notice it.

"Though tonight he's made me sad,
I still love him," Callie held the note on 'I still love him.'

"If I find him I'll be glad,
I still love him." She did the same thing again, only this time, she unknowingly pointed to Peter.

"I don't want to spoil the party so I'll go,
I would hate my disappointment to show" Callie realized what she did.
Casey and I harmonized once again, but we were too fixed on what was going on to know if we were on pitch or anything.

"There's nothing for me here so I will disappear,
If he turns up while I'm gone please let me know." Callie sang awkwardly, never loosing the pitch though.

Then Ben busted out into the guitar solo. Molly and Casey hopped on stage to dance around Callie, who was nervously staring at Peter, who was giving her a death glare.

"Come on, Cals! Relax!" Molly said as she spun Callie around and Callie spun to center stage.

"Though tonight he's made me sad,
I still love him" Molly and Callie sang.

"If I find him I'll be glad,
I still love him." Callie sang amazingly.

"Though I've had a drink or two and I don't care,
There's no fun in what I do if he's not there,
I wonder what went wrong
I've waited far too long," Callie sang with tears in her normally happy blue eyes.

"I think I'll take a walk and look for him." Callie sighed.

Molly and Casey danced around and posed, while Callie ran off stage and out of the auditorium.

Peter looked at the door, obviously deciding whether or not to run after her.
"RUN AFTER HER, YOU IDIOT!" Ryan shouted.

Peter did as he was told, busting out the doors while shouting "CALLIE!"

"Someone should go after them." Mrs. Hodge sighed.
"I will" I offered then ran after them.

I bolted down each and every hallway in the school.

No Callie.
Not. One. Little. Sign.

I let out a long sigh, then walked into the band room. I heard some soft guitar strumming.

"Callie?" I asked.
"Go away." The voice muttered.
"Please Callie, it's me Prudence." I said.
"Pru, leave. It's obvious I'm unlovable." Callie sighed.
"Don't say that! Everyone loves you!" I smiled.
"Not Peter." Callie said.
"Forget Peter, he's a jerk! A stupid one too." I tried.
"But he's my best friend." She softly said.
"If he was you friend, he would have told you a better way than giving you the death stare." I advised.
Callie seemed to know I was right, because she placed the guitar down.
"I knew it, I spoiled the party for everyone."
"NO! Callie you were amazing, and you don't spoil the party, you START the party!" I corrected.
"Didn't you already say that to me?" Callie asked with a smile on her face.
"I forgot, but it's the truth." I said, wagging my finger in her direction.

"Why does this always happen to me?" She asked after a few seconds of silence.
"What?" I asked.
"How come, whenever word gets out that I like a guy, does he always avoid me? Is there something wrong with me?" Callie looked down.
"No, there is nothing wrong with you." I comforted, pulling her into a hug.
She started crying.
"If there wasn't anything wrong with me, Peter would like me more than a friend." Callie sobbed.
I patted her back, trying to calm her down.

That's when I remembered.
"OH MY GOD!" I yelled, breaking the hug.
Callie sniffed "What?"
"We have to get back!" I simply said then pulled her back to the auditorium.

Just as we busted through the doors, Ryan had finished singing "Do You Want To Know a Secret." By The Beatles, I was awestruck;

He sang it for Casey! How sweet! Casey and Ryan had run into each other on Tuesday and Ryan kinda blurted out "I like you more than a friend." Ryan must have decided that the Chorus should know.

I smiled, Callie looked disgusted.

Step two in heartbreak; after crying, think love is disgusting.

"Callie." I said sternly, which caused her features to brighten up a bit.

After Ryan finished, he asked Casey to be his girlfriend which, of course, she agreed to!

Then Casey went up and sang "Got To Get You Into My Life" to show Ryan that the feelings were mutual.

After Casey, Jessica strode on stage and walked up to the mic
"Well, I was gone all last week and now it seems like people are bored with me." She sighed. "I just don't want you guys to in a sense 'pass me by'" She entered air quoted around "Pass Me By," then she appropriately sang "Don't Pass Me By."

Keith then walked on stage, grabbed a guitar and sat on a bench and said "Well, over Thanksgiving Break, my dad was notified that he had to go back into battle and was supposed to be sent back to Iraq as soon as possible." Keith sighed, his dad is in the Military and wasn't in battle for 5 years, but now he's back there. "I just miss him and I hate having him be a million miles away." He sighed, then started singing "Across The Universe." I took a quick look at Molly and she looked on the verge of tears.

After Keith went up, Molly volunteered to sing.
"Stay." She ordered Keith, and Keith obeyed.
"I'm really sorry about your dad." Molly sighed.
"It's okay Mc- Molly. It's not your fault." Keith reassured.
"I wish there was a way you could see him." Molly sighed.
"Well, don't worry, he's coming back for Christmas." Keith smiled which caused Molly to smile as well.
"I want to sing you something to make you feel a bit better, 'cause even though we're constantly at each other's throats, I still care about you. I will always be here for you Keith, but I am just wondering, will you?" Molly asked then the introduction to The Beatles' "When I'm Sixty-Four" played.

"When I get older, loosing my hair, many years from now." Molly sang.
"Will you still be sending me a Valentine, Birthday Greetings, Bottle of Wine?" Molly spun around Keith, who had a smirk plastered on his face.
"If I'd been out 'til quarter to three,
would you lock the door?" Molly imitated locking a door.
"Will you still need me?" She stood in front of Keith and bent to one side.
"Will you still feed me?" She bent to the opposite side.
"When I'm Sixty-Four?" Molly smirked then Keith spun her around.

After Molly sang, then Peter walked up.
I was giving him the same stare he had given Callie.
Nathan walked up to me "Whoa Peach, you win at giving death stares." He joked.
I smiled and turned to him "Hush up, Nathan."
He grabbed his heart "My own girlfriend, telling me to 'hush up?' Oh the horror!"
I smiled "You know I'm only kidding, Nate." I stretched up and kissed his cheek.
"I l-" He started, but got cut off by Peter announcing.

"I am going to sing a song that's about not hurting someone that you care about." He stated.
"TOO LATE!" Elizabeth called out.
"Yeah!" Molly agreed.
"It's just, I know she's been hurt a lot. Heck, I've hurt her sometimes. Not physically but still, and I just want to sing this song to apologize to her and maybe start a relationship with her." His eyes were traveling across the room.

I smirked, he must've done that on purpose.
It wasn't right, but it made the song seem more appropriate.

"Oh Darling!" He sang out.
"Please believe me!
I'll never do you no harm." He had a powerful voice.
"Believe me when I tell you, I'll never do you no harm." He nodded at Jessica, who smiled back.

After that, I blocked out his singing, I couldn't get over how mad I was.

After his performance, he went down to Jessica and he asked her out.
She agreed and they hugged. I was about to go ape crazy.

Which, I did.

"YOU!" I yelled, running at Peter. I jumped on him and started slapping him mercilessly.

"PRUDENCE!" Nathan yelled, and picked me off of Peter. I was laying horizontally in Nathan's arms with my arms and legs flailing.

"Wait, what?" Callie asked.
"YOU HELPED HIM?" Her voice became a yell.
"I thought he was going to sing it to YOU!" I yelled.
"Why would I sing it to her?" Peter asked.
"Like her? Callie? No." Peter simply said, he had his arm draped around Jessica.

"Peter Frasier, you are a jerk. No not a jerk, you are a piece of crap. A piece of crap that has been stepped on, eaten, spit back out, eaten again, crapped out, then shot." Callie simply said, then kicked him in the leg.

"OW!" Peter limped.
Jessica and Peter went over to the other end of the auditorium.

"Um, how about Prudence goes next?" Mrs. Hodge tried to calm us all down.
"Okay." I sighed, then nodded for Nathan to put me down.

As soon as I got up on stage, I spoke into the mic.
"This song is for Callie. Cals, you've been broken a lot lately, but don't worry. You'll take them broken wings and learn to fly." I winked then sang;

"Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise" I played guitar and sang.

"Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
all your life
you were only waiting for this moment to be free" I sang to Callie.

"Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night."
Nathan and I harmonized, then I played the guitar a little.

"Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night." Nathan and I chorused again.

Nathan took the guitar and played the solo amazingly, I looked at Callie and she looked like she was on the verge of tears.

"Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise,
You were only waiting for this moment to arise,
You were only waiting for this moment to arise" I smiled to her.

Everyone (besides Jessica and Peter) jumped up and clapped.
"WOOT!" They all screamed.
Nathan walked over to me and kissed the top of my head "I'm proud of you Peach." Callie ran up and hugged me "Thank you! That is the nicest thing anyone has ever sang to me."
"No problem Callie, you've been here so many times for me. It had to be done." I smiled.

Mrs. Hodge clapped "That was beautiful, Prudence! Nathan, would you like to go next?" She asked.
"Yes, miss." He smiled then walked up to the front of the stage.

"This song is for Prudence. I wanted to tell you this earlier, but I thought right now would be the best place." He smiled then started singing;

"I give her all my love
That's all I do
And if you saw my love
You'd love her too
I love her"
I was about to fall over.

"She gives me everything
And tenderly
The kiss my lover brings
She brings to me
And I love her"
I giggled insanely, Callie gave me a knowing smile.

"A love like ours
Could never die
As long as I
Have you near me"
He made his way by me and grabbed my hand.

"Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her" He smiled then kissed my forehead.

okay, I'm back. That was me fainting.

Then came the guitar solo, which Cindie played PERFECTLY. Callie looked at her best friend proudly.

"Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her" Nathan sang, sweetly.

"I love you, Prudence." He whispered, causing me to get the chills.
"I love you too, Nathan." I beamed and he kissed me.

I insanely giggled, once again.

"Well now that every one's happy, it's time for me to sing a song." Tyler said, waltzing up to the stage.
"Callie, get up here." He ordered.
"Because, you need to sing too." He explained.
"Oh okay." Callie smiled then walked over to Tyler.
"I got the idea to sing this song by most of today's events." Tyler sighed. I mentally noted that he looked too much like a blond George Harrison.

"Well, Monroe here and I have a song to sing. It goes something like this." He smiled then nodded to Cindie to start up the band.

A folk guitar intro played.
"I'm looking through you." Tyler sang to Jessica
"Where did you go?" Callie finished to Peter
"I thought I knew you." Callie sang again.
"What did I know?" Tyler asked while singing.
"I'm Looking Through You." They harmonized.
"YOU'RE NOT THE SAME!" They raised their voices.
Then they danced.

After they sang, Mrs. Hodge complimented them and all of us.
"Well, your next song assignment is...........
Love songs! You have until next Wednesday!" She smiled then sent us all out.

"PRUDENCE! CALLIE! MOLLY!" Marisol called out.

'Ugh.' I muttered in my mind.

"WHAT?" Molly replied.

"GO TO AGPPA! MRS. HODGE CALLED AND IS HAVING A CHORUS MEETING." Marisol called up and went back into the kitchen.

"Why would Mrs. Hodge call a Chorus meeting on a Sunday?" I asked, then decided to get dressed.

I got dressed in a long purple tee shirt and black skinny jeans. I put on my purple Converse then walked to Callie's room.

"CALLIE!" I called, she had her door shut.
"Ringo, is that you?" Callie was obviously asleep.

I bust through the door.

"CALLIE!" I yelled.
She rolled over and fell out of bed.
"AMEN!" She yelled immediately as she hit the ground.
"Callie, we're not in Church." I rolled my eyes.
"Then why did you wake me up?" She muttered.
"Because, Mrs. Hodge called a Chorus meeting." I explained.
"Hodge." Callie simply said then got up and went to get dressed.

Then, I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth, where I was joined by Molly.
"Morning, Pru." She greeted.
"Good morning, Molly." I returned the favor.
"Hey, uh, can I ask you something?" Molly said after a few moments of silence.
I finished brushing my teeth then replied "Sure"
"Well, what would you do if you liked a guy but he hated you." Molly looked around.
"Y-NO!" Molly stuttered.
I looked at her knowingly, "Molls."
"Fine! I like him, but don't tell ANYONE. He would probably rather DIE than like me back." Molly sighed.
"You never know Molly. He might just grow old with you." I joked then walked out of the bathroom.

At Chorus Practice, everyone looked half asleep.
"Hey, Pru." Elizabeth sleepily greeted.
"Hey, Lizzie." I waved.
"Morning, Peach." Nathan kissed the top of my head.
I looked up at him, he looked exhausted.
I peered over at Callie, but she had her head on Peter's shoulder and she was on the verge of falling asleep. Peter looked like he didn't mind.

I chuckled.

"GOOD MORNING!" Mrs. Hodge's cheeriness annoyed me.
Everyone muttered a greeting.
"Well, the reason I called you all here is to know what song you are going to sing." She smiled.
I immediately opened my eyes.

"We'll go down the line. You will tell me which album you had, then The Beatles song that you chose." Mrs. Hodge smiled.
Everyone nodded.
"First up is Ryan." She smiled.

"I got Please Please Me, their first album. The song I chose is 'Do You Want To Know A Secret.'" He explained.
"Oh I LOVE that song!" Casey beamed.

That's not the ONLY thing that she loves.

"Awesome choice! Casey?" Mrs. Hodge asked.
"I got Revolver and I chose 'Got To Get You Into My Life'" She beamed.
"I love that song." Ryan smiled at her.

"Lovely! Molly?" Mrs. Hodge asked.
"I got Sgt. Pepper's and I chose 'When I'm Sixty Four.'" Molly explained.
"You look like you are now." Keith said.
"At least I don't act like I'm 3 like SOME PEOPLE." Molly shot back.

"Calm down, but great choice! Tyler?"
"I got the awesome-ness that is Rubber Soul and I picked 'I'm Looking Through You'" Tyler explained.
"Who are you looking through?" Jessica asked.
"You." Tyler said then turned back to face Mrs. Hodge.

"I love that song! Jessica?"
"I got the Second half of The White Album, and I picked 'Don't Pass Me By'" Jessica smiled.
"I wish I can." Tyler muttered.
"YOU KNOW WHAT?!" Jessica asked, standing up.

"Okay, okay. Calm down, Jessica." Mrs. Hodge advised.
Jessica sat down.
"Keith?" Mrs. Hodge smiled.
"I got Let It Be, their last album." Keith explained.
"Abbey Road was their true last album." Molly interjected.
"Abbey Road was released before Let It Be." Keith fought back.
"Abbey Road was recorded after Let It Be." Molly said.

"OKAY! WE GET IT!" Callie yelled, then rested her head on Peter's shoulder once again.
"Well, I got Let It Be and I picked 'Across The Universe.'" Keith finished.

"Nice choice! Nathan?" Mrs. Hodge asked.
"I got A Hard Day's Night." Nathan smiled down on me, he knew I loved that album.
I smiled.
"And I picked the song 'And I Love Her.'" He finished.
My cheeks burned.

Did he just imply that he l-l-l-l-loved me?

"I love that song, it's so sweet! Pru?" Mrs. Hodge asked.
"I had the luck of picking the first side of The White Album and I picked..." I trailed off.
"One second." I said then ran to my purse, where I pulled out my iTouch.

"Shuffle, Shuffle, Shuffle." I chanted.
I shuffled it.

"Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly." I heard.

"'Blackbird'! I choose 'Blackbird!'" I beamed.

It was so perfect for me, I have been broken a lot lately, but it would be best for me if I fixed up those brusies and move on.

"Amazing song! Lovely choice! Elizabeth?" Mrs. Hodge commented.
"I got Magical Mystery Tour, and I picked the song 'All You Need Is Love'" She smiled at Jake, who returned the gesture.

"Love it! Jake?" Mrs. Hodge questioned.
"I got the album Help! Yes, there is an exclamation point after it." He joked.
Everyone either chuckled or giggled, we were all too tired to laugh.
"Well anyways, I got Help and I chose 'Dizzy Miss Lizzy'" He smiled.

Elizabeth looked shocked, the look on her face said "Is he singing a song for me?"
Yes, Liz, he is.

"Aw, how nice! Callie?" Mrs. Hodge beamed.
"I got Beatles For Sale and I chose 'I Don't Want To Spoil The Party.'" Callie lazily said.
Peter looked at her "Callie, you don't spoil the party. You are the party."
Callie smiled "Hush. Let me sleep." Callie dazed off once more.

"Nice song! Peter?" Mrs. Hodge asked Peter.
We had picked a song yesterday while Callie was getting ready. I think it fit his situation to a 'T.'
"I got Abbey Road and I picked 'Oh! Darling'" Peter explained.
Callie mindlessly giggled.
"Good luck singing that one!" Mrs. Hodge joked.
"Thanks, I'll need it." Peter laughed along.

"Well, that's all I wanted to know from you all. You can go back home and sleep, but remember Tuesday is the day you perform your song for the Chorus!" Mrs. Hodge said.
Everyone grabbed their stuff and peeled out of there.

"BYE MRS. HODGE! SEE YOU ON MONDAY!" I yelled then ran home to the comfort of my bed.

Friday, December 3, 2010

"Goodbye class!" Mrs. Hodge smiled and sent us on our way to find songs on Wednesday.

I was speed-walking to the door when I was alarmed by a
"PRU! WAIT UP!" I turned and saw, gasp, Peter.

"Peter?" I stopped dead in my tracks,

he had come back from being sick, but you could still see a bit of flush in his face.

"I need your help." Peter said.
"With?" I asked, shell shocked, he NEVER talks to me.
"Picking a song."
"What? Your like king of the Beatle People." I pointed out.
"True, but I NEED a song that expresses my feelings." He nodded.

You and me both, kid.

"Oh! Okay, well what are your feelings?" I asked.
"Well, uhm, I like this girl..... a lot, but she's been hurt a lot in her past, and I just want to show her that I am here for her, and that if WE, that's her and I, ever got together, I wouldn't hurt her." He explained.

I nodded, I was kind of excited, I mean, Callie has been hurt a lot in her lifetime.
Maybe, for the first time, my sister was actually having a crush that was crushing back?

Score one for Callie.

"Oh okay, well I will look for a song and tell you when you come over on Saturday." I informed, Callie and Peter ALWAYS go to the mall on Saturdays, it's a ritual, if you will.

"Thanks, Prudence. I owe you one, oh and" He pulled me close.
"Don't tell Callie." He whispered.

Oh, he DEFINITELY is crazy for Callie.

Picking and Celebrating

After a whole day of learning practically nothing, I desperately needed chorus.

As the bell rang, I ran out of the Art Room, dropped my stuff off at my locker, and bolted to the choir room.

As soon as I bolted in the door, I realized something.

I didn't have a song.

I was too caught up with the Thanksgiving preparations to get a song!
And the assignment is THE BEATLES for crying out loud!

I was probably the ONLY one who didn't have a song, so I slumped to my usual seat and expected the worst.

After everyone piled in the room, Mrs. Hodge, in her normal smiley manner, walked to the front.

"Hello everyone! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving." She smiled.
There was a few "Hey Mrs. H's" but nothing else.

Everyone seemed so solemn.

I expected to hear SOMETHING from Callie, considering she's usually a bowl of sunshine, but she was sad and wearing black.

I whispered to Callie, "Cals, why are you wearing black?"
She looked at me and whispered, "Because, nine years ago today, something tragic happened." And she left it at that.

I skimmed my mind to think of why, then I had it!
George Harrison, the guitarist of The Beatles, died 9 years ago today, and Callie, being Callie, acted as if it was a loss of a family member.

The Beatles, I thought in my mind, what could be a good song to sing by the-

My mind was cut off by Mrs. Hodge asking;
"So everyone, what are your songs?"

We all just looked at each other.
That caused me to have a huge relief, no one else had a song either!

"No one has a song?"

We all just shook our heads.
"We were all just stuck in Thanksgiving madness." Casey sighed.

It looked as if a LOT happened to the chorus kids over Thanksgiving Break.

Mrs. Hodge gave a knowing smile "I thought so, which is why.." She said as she grabbed her light blue tote bag.
"I brought Beatles albums for you all to pick out."

Everyone looked so grateful. I knew I was!

"Magical Mystery Tour, here I come." Callie smiled as she strode up to get her favorite Beatle album.

"No no no Callie, you must pick through the bag without looking." Mrs. Hodge advised.
"Fine." Callie sighed, then put her arm into the bag and seemed to be shuffling things around.

Finally, she pulled out a CD that said "Beatles For Sale" on it.
She smiled. "YES! I have a PERFECT song now." Callie then nearly skipped back to her seat.

Casey was next, she stood up and walked to Mrs. Hodge. She then did the same as Callie, but this time pulling out a black and white CD entitled "Revolver."
Casey immediately beamed, "My favorite album! Thanks Mrs. Hodge." Casey then walked back and sat next to Elizabeth.

Ryan was next and pulled out a CD that had "Please Please Me" in yellow text on it.
"Awesome, thanks Mrs. H." He smiled then went and sat next to Casey.

I blurred out the rest of the picks but I remember who has what album;

Jake got Help!
Elizabeth got Magical Mystery Tour
Nathan got A Hard Day's Night
Molly got Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Keith got Let it Be,
and Tyler got Rubber Soul.
["WHAT?!" Callie screamed out, Rubber Soul is her other favorite Beatle album, even though she loves them all.]

Then it was my turn.
I slumped up to Mrs. Hodge and put my hand in the bag to search for a CD.
What I pulled out surprised me.
It was just a CD!

"What the...?" I asked in shock.
"Oh, you get the first part of The White Album." Mrs. Hodge smiled.
I smiled too, I L-O-V-E the White Album!
I went back to my seat and beamed.

Then Jessica went up and picked out the OTHER half of the White Album.
"Sweet, thanks Mrs. Hodge." Jessica smiled.

After everyone picked their album Mrs. Hodge smiled and said;
"And Peter will get Abbey Road if he comes back." Everyone nodded in agreement and we all started chatting about nothing in particular when Mrs. Hodge said;

"Does anyone have anything they'd like to sing?"
Callie's hand flew up.

"Yes, Callie?" Mrs. Hodge smiled.
"Well, you see. Today in 2001, George Harrison of The Beatles succumbed to cancer and he was Cindie's favorite Beatle." Callie pointed out then flashed a smile at Cindie.
"What?" Mrs. Hodge asked.
"Cindie wants to sing." Callie beamed.

Cindie was about to argue, but looked down at her all black outfit and purple flower in her hair, then looked at Callie who was wearing all black but with a purple jacket.
[Purple was his favorite color.]

"Okay." Cindie sighed then walked to center stage.
She motioned for me to come on stage with her.
"Yeah Cid?" I asked.
"What should I sing?" She asked.
"Sing whatever you feel is right for this moment right now." I smiled then went back to my seat.
Cindie seemed to be deep in thought, then she whispered something into Ben, the other composer of the choir's ear and he nodded then told all of the band.

A few seconds of silence passed.

Then came an AWESOME guitar intro. The kids whooped and hollered.
Then the horn section came in and I knew which song she chose.

"What Is Life." I smiled.

[listen to this song; it's FANTASTIC!]

"What I feel,
I can't say.
But my love is there for you anytime of day."
Cindie sang then hopped down off of the stage and danced to Callie.

"But if it's not love." Callie and Cindie harmonized.

"That you need, Then I'll try my best to make everything succeed." Cindie went solo then danced around while singing at the top of her lungs;

"Tell me.
What is my life, without your love?
Tell me
who am I, without you
by my side?" Callie and I jumped up on the piano and were dancing around.

"What I know,
I can do.
If I give my love now to everyone like you." Cindie sang and as the horns went up, Callie and I put our hands up higher and higher.

"But if it's not love,
that you need.
Then I'll try my best to make everything succeed."
Cindie beamed then joined Callie and I to sing;

"Tell me what is my life
without your love." Cindie sang then pulled Molly to join our dancing.

"Tell me who, am I.
Without you," Cindie sang, then pulled Elizabeth up as well.

Callie and I added the "Oooh-oooh's"

"by my side." Cindie spun around and sang.

Cindie pointed for me to jump off the piano and sing.
Which I gladly did.

"Tell me what is my life,
without you love." I made a heart out of my hands and winked at Nathan.

Elizabeth came up behind me and sang;
"Tell me who am I,
without you." She smiled at Jake.

"By my side." Callie and I chorused.

Then we all danced around a bit then stopped abruptly.

Callie slid down the middle of the stage, playing the same guitar riff that started the song.

Molly came out behind her and did a cartwheel across the stage, which caused us all to dance again. Then Molly ran to get the mic from Elizabeth.

"What I feel" Molly swayed from side to side.
"I can't say!" Everyone sang out, and I mean everyone. Even Mrs. Hodge!

"But my love is there for you anytime of day." Molly smiled, then tossed the mic back to Cindie who was dancing on the piano with Callie.

"But if it's not love
that you need,
then I'll try my best
to make everything succeed." Cindie sang then we all got ready to sing the chorus.

Molly ran to her bag and pulled out a picture of George, which Cindie ran to and pretty much sang too.

"Tell me what is my life,
without your songs.
Tell me who am I,
without you,
to help spread my wings and fly." Cindie changed the words up.

I felt so bad, I forgot all about today. Cindie's favorite man in the whole world died today, and I forgot.

I could have at least remembered to hug her.

Cindie never had a dad, her dad left her mom when Cindie was just a baby. So the only person she could look up to, oddly enough, was George.

Stupid me forgot! I feel so bad!

I ran up to her and sang with her.
"Oh Tell me
what is my life,
without your love"
She then smiled to me
"Tell me who am I
without you,
by my side." We locked arms.

Then we all danced around, Cindie spun me and I laughed insanely. Callie rocked out on guitar, Molly and Elizabeth were doing random dance moves.

Everything seemed so.. Happy.

After the song, Callie came up and sighed.
"George Harrison,
February 25th 1943 to November 29th 2001."

Then we all chorused.
"REST IN PEACE!" As if he could hear us,

and you know what?

I think he did.

Second Chances

"One, Two, A-One, Two, Three, Four!" Molly counted off then the guitar intro to "River Deep, Mountain High" played.

Yup, yesterday was our assignment day for Chorus, and who was up first but Molly and me.

"When I was a little girl, I had a rag doll.
Only doll I've ever owned." Molly's voice was sweet yet powerful.

"Now I love you just the way, I loved that rag doll.
Only now my love has grown." I took my turn to sing.

"And it grows stronger, in every way!" Molly's voice got higher.
"And it gets deeper, let me say." We harmonized.
"And It gets higher." Molly sang.
"Day By Day" I joined her.

"Do I love you?
my oh my!
River deep mountain high!
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
If I lost you, would I cry.
Oh how I love you baby,
baby, baby, baby!" We danced around and sang.

"When you were a young boy
Did you have a puppy
That always followed you around" I sang and twirled around so the skirt on my dress could fly around.

"Well I'm gonna be as faithful as that puppy" Molly walked across the stage.

"No I'll never let you down!" Our voices mixed.

"Cause it grows stronger, like a river flows" Molly's powerful voice sang.

"And it gets bigger baby, and heaven knows
And it gets sweeter baby, as it grows" We harmonized.

"Do I love you my oh my
River deep, mountain high
Yeah Yeah Yeah
If I lost you would I cry
Oh how I love you baby, baby, baby, baby" We rocked.

We took a second to dance around.

"I love you baby like a flower loves the spring" Molly sang.
"And I love you baby like a Robin loves to sing" I replied.
"And I love you baby like a school boy loves his pet" Molly's voice got higher.
"And I love you baby, river deep mountain high!" When we sang deep, we ducked down and when we sang high, we threw our hands in the air.

Molly harmonized while I danced like my life depended on it.

"Do I love you my oh my, oh baby
River deep, mountain high
Yeah Yeah Yeah
If I lost you would I cry
Oh how I love you baby, baby, baby, baby" We sang then spun around and posed, but not before giving each other a high five.

Everyone erupted in cheers.
"WOOOT!" Callie and Peter yelled.
"GO MOLLY AND PRU!" Elizabeth and Casey screamed.
Ryan and Jake whistled.
Even Nathan clapped!
I scanned the crowd for Jessica, but she wasn't there!

We bowed and Mrs. Hodge sent us back to our seats.

After us, Callie and Peter went on stage
and sang P!nk's "Raise Your Glass." They were phenomenal!
However, what really got my attention was how Callie was staring at Peter when she sang. It looked more like an "I-love-you" look than a "Your-My-Best-Friend" look.

After them, Casey and Ryan went up and sang Paramore's "The Only Exception" They were awesome! Casey was staring at Ryan the whole time he sang, and Ryan did the same to her when she sang.

Then, Elizabeth and Jake went up and sang "Don't Go Breaking My Heart."
They rocked the house, I was smiling. They looked so cute together and their little co-ordinating outfits were an adorable touch!

Then, Nathan stepped up to the mic.
"Nathan, where is Jessica?" Mrs. Hodge asked.
"She went on Thanksgiving vacation a day early, but that doesn't matter.
What matters is that I lost someone very important in my life these last few days.
She's the main reason why I get up in the morning. I hope this song I'm about to sing will make her even consider taking me back, but I don't expect her to, because a beautiful girl like her deserves better than me." He said with his gaze fixed on me.

I wasn't moved.

That all changed when Cindie played the piano intro
to Bruno Mars' "Just The Way You Are"

My jaw was on the ground way before he opened his mouth,
and that only caused it to fall further.

"Oh her eyes, her eyes
Make the stars look like they're not shining
Her hair, her hair
Falls perfectly without her trying

She's so beautiful
And I tell her every day

Yeah I know, I know
When I compliment her
She wont believe me
And its so, its so
Sad to think she don't see what I see

But every time she asks me do I look okay
I say

When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are" He pointed to me and I blushed.

"And when you smile,
The whole world stops and stares for awhile
Cause girl you're amazing
Just the way you are" Molly and Callie were looking at me incredulously.

"Her lips, her lips
I could kiss them all day if she'd let me
Her laugh, her laugh
She hates but I think its so pretty

She's so beautiful
And I tell her every day

Oh you know, you know, you know
Id never ask you to change
If perfect is what you're searching for
Then just stay the same"

"So don't even bother asking
If you look okay
You know I say" His voice got stronger when he ended that part

"When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile,
The whole world stops and stares for awhile
Cause girl you're amazing
Just the way you are" He smiled.

"The way you are
The way you are
Girl you're amazing
Just the way you are" His voice got higher than I thought was possible.

"When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are" By then his face was inches from mine and he was singing directly to me.

"And when you smile,
The whole world stops and stares for awhile
Cause girl you're amazing
Just the way you are
Yeah." His baby blue eyes were still fixed on my chocolate brown ones.

"Please give me a second chance, I know you probably hate me. But Peach, I can't go on without you." He used one of his cheesy lines.

"Well, if you stop using those cheesy lines, then yes. I will give you a second chance." I joked and we hugged.

"AWWWWWWW" Everyone chorused.
I became Peach again, literally.

"Well, class. You have shown me that you are capable of singing everything from Bruno Mars." Mrs. Hodge nodded to Nathan "To Tina Turner." She nodded to Molly and I.

"So what's our next assignment?" I finally got up the courage to ask.

"Callie, you will love this." Mrs. Hodge winked at Callie, but Callie didn't catch the inside joke.

"What?" Callie asked.

"The Beatles." Mrs. Hodge declared.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" Callie screamed and bolted to hug Mrs. Hodge.

"You have all of Thanksgiving break to pick a song, and when we get back you will tell me which you choose. Have a good Thanksgiving everyone!"
Mrs. Hodge smiled and sent us all on our way out of the halls of AGPPA.

[I just realized that last line rhymed, spooky.]

Costume Craziness

After school today, Elizabeth and Jake stopped by to pick up Elizabeth's costume for chorus;

Jake supposedly has a suit that has the same colour palate, so everything is good with their costumes.

"OHMYGOSH! I LOVE IT! THANKS SONALI!" Elizabeth limped over to hug Sonali.
"Thank-you, Sonali! It looks great!" Jake smiled.
"Your welcome! I hope next week I can help you with your assignment too!" Sonali smiled.
"Bye Prudence, Molly, Sonali, and Callie!" They said then left.
"BYE!" We all chorused.

"Kay, Cals. Here is your dress." Sonali announced after a few tweaks;

Callie's eyes went to the size of baseballs.
"Oh.My.God. That is so AMAZING!" She yelled as she jumped up and bolted to hug Sonali.
"You're the best! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I gotta go show Peter!" Callie said.
"NO!" Sonali warned.
"Because, it's pouring outside, and I don't want the dress to get ruined." Sonali explained.
"Oh okay. But thanks Sonali!" Callie thanked then ran to her room.

Then she turned to Molly and I,
"Okay girls, I have your dresses done. You just need to get them from Mrs. Hudson." Sonali smiled, Mrs. Hudson helps Sonali with the dresses.

Molly turned bright red
"Do we HAVE to go?" She asked.

Did I mention that Keith's last name was Hudson?

"Well, if you don't want to dance in front of the Chorus NAKED tomorrow, then yes, I suppose you do." Sonali retorted then pushed us out of the house.

"BUT" We both yelled in unison, but it was too late, we were out in the pouring rain

without an umbrella.

"We are going to DIE." Molly whined.
"Nope, the only thing that's going to die tonight is your pride." I teased.
"HEY, no use to make fun. YOUR just going to have to go into that house." Molly sighed.
"And leave you out in this weather?" I asked, then a huge flash of white tore across the sky.
"OKAY, I GET IT. I'LL GO. JUST PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME OUT WITH THE LIGHTNING!" Molly yelled then we bolted to the Hudson residence.

"THERE!" Molly yelled, pointing to a two-story brick house with all of the windows closed. We ran up the driveway and knocked on the door.

"HELLO?!" Molly yelled.
"Hello?" Keith answered the door.

It was hysterical, I was fighting back laughter.

"Oh, what do YOU want McIntire?" Keith sneered.
"Get your mom, Hudson." Molly retorted.
"MA! THERE'S A PEST HERE FOR YOU." Keith called to his mom.

A slim, red haired woman with glasses came running down the stairs
"Thank you, Keithy! NOW GET BACK TO BED!" She insisted in a soft voice.
"Fine." Keith mumbled then slumped off to his room.
"What can I help you girls with?" Mrs. Hudson asked.
"We need some dresses." I said.
"Oh, so you must be Sonali's sisters! The ones in the chorus?" She asked.
We nodded.
"Oh Lovely! My Keith is in the chorus and he LOVES it. He also loves this girl named M-" She was cut off by Keith yelling

If it wasn't pouring outside, I could have sworn I saw Molly blushing.

"Well, here are your dresses! Lovely design and I am very proud of how they turned out." She smiled and just as she was about to shut the door another lightning blot flew across the sky.
"Oh no, you girls want a ride home?" She asked.
"Yes please." We replied in unison.

After we all sat in her Range Rover, she turned on the radio and what else than "River Deep, Mountain High." Came on.

"Oh I LOVE THIS SONG! Tina Turner is amazing!" Mrs. Hudson smiled.
"Actually, we are singing this song for chorus tomorrow." I said.
"Oh really? Awesome!" Mrs. Hudson smiled.
"Thanks." Molly smiled back.
"I have the karaoke version on one of my CD's. Can I hear you two sing it?" She asked.
"Sure!" We replied, smiling.

She popped in the CD and the guitar intro played.

"When I was a little girl
I had a rag doll
Only doll I've ever owned" Molly's powerful voice filled my ears.

"Now I love you just the way
I loved that rag doll
But only now my love has grown." I sang.

"And it gets stronger, in every way" Molly's voice became a bit higher.

"And it gets deeper, let me say
And it gets higher, day by day"

Molly and I exchanged a smile and sang more.

"Do I love you my oh my
River deep mountain high
Yeah Yeah Yeah
If I lost you would I cry
Oh how I love you baby, baby, baby, baby"

Then, before we could finish, we pulled up to our house.
"You girls are FANTASTIC singers! Amazing! Perfect!" Mrs. Hudson complimented.
"Thank you!" I smiled.
"And Thanks for the ride" Molly finished.

We both waved and ran into the house.

She honked as she drove away.

"Hey, you never know, she could one day be your Mother-In-Law" I smiled.
Molly playfully hit me then we ran inside to check on our dresses.

"Oh my gosh, Nali! AMAZING!" Molly gushed as she saw hers;

"It's gorgeous, Sonali! Great job" I smiled as I looked at Molly's.

"Open yours!" Sonali smiled.

I did as she told, and I was speechless;

"There's more." Sonali smiled, handing me a box.
"My contacts!" I exclaimed.
"They came JUST in time for the big day." Molly smiled.
"Thanks!" I yelled and then bolted to my room.

This is gonna be good...

Not A Second Time

I was speed walking to Science class, I had just helped Elizabeth [who's on crutches] get her stuff to her class.

Out of random, I decided to practice my Chorus song while I was walking to class, no one was in the hallways so I might get away with it.

"When I was a little girl
I had a rag doll
Only doll I've ever owned
Now I love you just the way I loved that rag doll
But only now my love has grown.

And it gets stronger, in every way.
And it gets deeper, let me say.
And it gets higher, day by day.

Do I love you my oh my
River deep mountain high
Yeah Yeah Yeah
If I lost you would I cry
Oh how I love you baby, baby, baby, baby."

I was too busy dancing around to notice the tall figure that I ran SMACK into.

"God, watch where you're going." A familliar voice warned.
My glasses had fallen off, so I had to search for them.
"There!" I exclaimed as I put on my glasses and the figure became clear.

Nathan freaking Modine in the flesh.

I wanted to peel out of there before he could say anything, but something was pulling me to ask him the one question that was killing me.

"Why?" I finally got it off of my chest.
"Why what?" He was obviously confused.
"Why did you break up with me?" I asked.
He took a deep sigh.
"Because, when Jessica and I were practicing, she was major-flirting with me, and I guess it just.... attracted me." He confessed.

I was enraged.

"Well." I started preparing my rage-enduced lecture, but he interjected.
"I'm sorry."
"Well, sorry isn't going to cut it.
You hurt me.
Bad." I said, remembering the heartache that jerk put me through.
"But Peach." He started.
"I'm sorry Nathan, but I just won't take you back at the drop of a hat. Especially after all you put me through." I said then turned and walked to class without a second thought.

That what he deserved.

P.S. I do NOT own the lyrics, they belong to Tina Turner. It's her song "River Deep, Mountain High."

Friday, November 19, 2010

"Open you stupid locker." I mumbled.

Friday was usually my happy day, but not today.

Not after Nathan broke my heart.

"Please?" I asked.
It opened.
"Thank you." I muttered then took my books out, Spanish.
The class with you-know-who in it.

I didn't have time to hear the footsteps approaching behind me, but I did notice my books plummeting to the floor. I looked up and saw Jessica, the two-faced wonder.

"Pruuuuuuuuudy." She said in a high voice.
"Messica." I used the nickname Julia had given her.
"What's wrong sweetie?" She asked in a high voice.
"Nathan dumped me." I muttered.
"About time." She just said.
I had it;
"YOU KNOW WHAT?" I yelled at the top of my lungs
"WHAT?" She asked, matching my tone
"Why? Because my two faces are prettier then your one face." She fired.

and I know that violence is not the answer but...
I slapped her, grabbed my books and ran to class.

I Knew It

"Oooh I love you, my oh my... Yeah! River Deep, Mountain High
If I lost you, would I cry.
River Deep Mountain High!" Molly and I harmonized.

Our voices sounded REALLY good together.

Chrissa jumped on her bed, which was right above Molly's room, to quiet us down.

"Your a REALLY good singer, Pru." Molly commented then took a drink of water.
"Thanks, you are too, but you already know that from all of your fans" I smiled.
Then I realized something;
"OH! I have to finish my Spanish Project! See ya Molly!" I said as I dashed out of the room.

-30 minutes later-

"YEAH WE'RE GONNA HAVE SOME FUN TONIGHT!" I sang at the top of my lungs to Chuck Berry's 'Long Tall Sally' as I did my homework. The project is a life-sized portrait of us with an accompanying paper written in Spanish about us. I colored in my blue glasses when my phone went off.

"Dear Prudence...." John Lennon sang.
It was Nathan's ring tone! I smiled then turned off my iPod and picked up the phone.

"Hello?" I asked.
"Hey, Prudence." He said.
"What's wrong?" I asked, he NEVER says my real name. It's either Pru or Peach.
"I.... don't think........." He trailed off.
I couldn't believe it, he couldn't be saying what I'm thinking, can he?
"What?" I asked, trying to be positive.
"I don't think I want to be your boyfriend anymore" He said softly.
"Why?" I asked, the tears beginning to form faster than I expected.
"I think we should just... See other people." He said.
My heart was broken.
"Well, FINE THEN!" I yelled then hung up the phone and slid down the wall and hugged my knees and cried my eyes out.

"I knew it." I sobbed.

Duets and Don't's

*VERY cheesy title, I know*

I practically skipped to Chorus.

I was that happy today, for three reasons
(1) Today is the one year anniversary of our [as in me, my sisters and Melanie's] YouTube Channel! *blows a kazoo*
(2) Melanie said she won't get Annabelle until January. WOOOH!

So as you can see;
Happy Pru + Chorus = Skippy time.

I hummed a random tune as I walked through the auditorium doors and took my seat net to Nathan and Elizabeth.

"Hey, Liz!" I greeted.
"Hey Pru!" She smiled.

Before I could greet Nathan, Mrs. Hodge walked onto the stage.
"Hello everyone! So yesterday you all did your Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber songs and I told you that your next assignment was duets. Well, guess what this is!" She nearly sang while waving a notebook up.

"THE DUET PARTNERS!" Callie exclaimed.
"Correct! Okay well here it goes!" Mrs. Hodge announced.

I was confident, of COURSE Nathan and I would be partnered up!
Wouldn't we?

"First couple; Jake and Elizabeth!" Mrs. Hodge smiled.
Elizabeth and Jake smiled at each other, while I knew that Elizabeth was just bubbling with happiness inside.

"Second couple; Callie and Peter!" Mrs. Hodge continued.
Callie and Peter hugged, hey they're best friends! They are entitled to do that!

"Third couple; Molly and Keith!" Mrs. Hodge smiled.
"WHAT?!" Molly automatically stood up and yelled in protest.
"Oh, LET IT GO, Molly. It's obvious you like him!" Callie teased.
Molly rolled her eyes and sat down.

"Fourth couple; Casey and Ryan!" Mrs. Hodge smiled.
Casey blushed furiously and Ryan smiled a bit.

"Fifth couple; Nathan and Jessica!" Mrs. Hodge announced.

"WHAT?!" I yelled as I stood up. "B-b-but that leaves me with.."

"Sixth couple; Prudence and Tyler" Mrs. Hodge finished.

Jessica raised her hand
"Mrs. Hodge, Tyler is suspended and Keith went home with the stomach flu."

"Oh." Mrs. Hodge said, scanning her list.

"Then Molly and Prudence, you two are partners. GET TO WORK!" Mrs. Hodge smiled as we all went with our partners.

I sat down by Molly. "So what song should we sing?" I asked.
"Hmm..." She wondered.
"Huh...." I said.
"I GOT IT!" She exclaimed.
"You know that Tina Turner song, 'Deep, Mountain High?'" She smiled.
I nodded "Yeah, Mercedes and Santana sang it on Glee about three weeks ago."
"Well, WE are going to sing it!" She explained.
"Awesome!" I smiled.
"I can sing Mercedes' parts, because I have the stronger voice." She announced.

No use arguing with a superstar.

"And you can sing Santana's part." She smiled.
"Awesome!" I smiled and then we began to go over our choreography.
During Molly's lecture on 'pointing your toes while kicking', I tuned her out and tuned IN Callie and Peter. I never noticed this before, but they would look REALLY cute together.

He's tall, she's short.
He has green eyes, she has blue eyes.
He can be shy, Callie? Shy? Never!

They are so different from each other, but hey, opposites attract right?

"What song should we sing?" Callie asked.
"I don't know." Peter shrugged.
"TO THE IPOD!" Callie exclaimed and ran to her backpack, picked up her purple iPod nano and ran over to Peter.
"Oh, Cals, you always have your iPod make the decisions for you." Peter teased.
Callie smiled and shuffled it.
"Hmm, 'Dear Prudence?' Nah, we better save that for Nathan and Pru." Callie smiled.

Shuffle again.

"'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'? Nah, I mean I love that song. But that's one part." Peter said while observing the screen.

Callie put the iPod down and exclaimed "I HAVE THE PERFECT SONG!"
"Tell me!" Peter pleaded.
She whispered it into his ear and he smiled.
"YES, but don't you think that's a little to 'lovey' for best friend to sing?" He asked.
"Well, it's called acting and we will act AMAZINGLY, just you see kiddo." She assured and played with his hair.

I smiled.
"How CUTE are they?" someone asked, snapping me back to reality.
I turned to see Molly looking over at Peter and Callie.
"Yeah." I said.
"Well, we better get going on our choreography! We need to have this down by Monday!" Molly exclaimed while helping me up.

But I couldn't keep my mind off of Callie and Peter OR whatever evil plan Jessica had in store.

Tomorrow's gonna be............ something.

Sing! *Part Two*

"And a-one, two, one, two, three, four." Nathan counted.

The opening notes to Justin Bieber's "Baby" played.
He was dressed up JUST like Justin Bieber, I wanted to laugh but I couldn't muster it up after what Jessica had said earlier.

"You know you love me, I know you care. Just shout whenever, and I'll be there. You are my love, you are my heart, and we will never, ever, ever be apart." Nathan sang and did his best Justin Bieber-ish moves, which he failed at. I think this was his way of apologizing to me, but I had to decided whether or not to accept it.

Either way, I felt myself blushing like crazy during all of his parts, and I turned to Elizabeth when Jake did Ludacris' part.

"When I was thirteen, I had my first love. There was nobody that compared to my baby, and nobody came between us or could ever come above.
She had me going crazy, oh I was starstruck. She woke me up daily, don't need no Starbucks. She made my heart pound, and skip a beat when I see her on the street and at school on the play ground. But I really wanna see her on the weekend.

She know she got me dazing, 'cause she was so amazing.
And now my heart is breakin', but I just keep on sayin'."
Elizabeth was as red as I was!

Jake pointed for Nathan to go into the chorus,
"Baby, baby, baby, OOOH.
Like baby, baby, baby, NOOO!
Like baby, baby, baby, oooh!
Thought you'd always be mine, mine.
Baby, baby, baby ooh!
Like baby, baby, baby, nooo!
Like baby, baby, baby, oooh.
thought you'd always be mine!"

Then everyone got up and danced.

"Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah." We all sang in unison.

"Now I'm all gone, now I'm all gone.
I'm gone." Nathan ended.

We all clapped insanely.
"WOOH!" Elizabeth and I yelled at the same time.

Nathan and Jake bowed and returned to their seats behind us. I hugged Nathan and said "You were AMAZING! Better than Justin Bieber!"
He shrugged and joked "that's just me, Peach."

We laughed.

"Okay, good job to all of the boys! Now for the girls! First up we have..... Callie!" Mrs. Hodge announced.

We all looked around.

No Callie.

I looked at Molly, she just shrugged and mouthed "Where is she?" I shrugged and we all searched.

Just then, Callie walked through the doors, in her same costume, but with a Ke$ha-style lightning bolt on her cheek.

Typical Callie, breaking the rules.

"Callie! Where were you?" Mrs. Hodge demanded.
"Getting this on!" Callie pointed to the lightning bolt.
"Oh, well your up next." Mrs. Hodge said then sat in her seat.

Callie nodded and walked to the front of the class and nodded for Cindie to play a CD.

I was at first terrified, but then I smiled when the violin intro to Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" played. She changed the song, but she probably had a good reason.

"I know that we are young, and I know that you may love me. But I just can't be with you like this anymore.
Tyl-e-jandro." Callie said in her best Italian accent

We all laughed and the look on Tyler and Jessica's faces were priceless.

"She's got both hands in her pockets
and she won't look at you, won't look at you.
She hides through love
en su bolsillo
she's got a halo 'round her finger
around you." She sang.

"You know that I love you boy
hot like Mexico, rejoice at this point I've gotta choose
nothin' to loose." She said.

"Don't Call my name, don't call my name, Tyl-e-jandro.
I'm not yer babe, I'm not yer babe. Fernando
Don't wanna kiss, don't wanna touch. Just one more cigarette and HUSH
Don't call my name, don't call my name. Tyl-e-jandro."

Then the music ended and another song started. Callie threw off her Gaga wig and let her light brown hair loose.

The intro to Ke$ha's "Backstabber" Played.
"Back, Back, Backstabber.
Back, Back, Backstabber.
Back, Back, Backstabber."
She sang and walked over to Jessica and sang;
"Bored, Cold.
Sittin' in your basement.
All alone
'cause your little conversations got around
now look at what we all found out.
You have got a set of loose lips
twistin' stories all because your jealous.
Now I know exactly what your all about." Callie sang and changed up the lyrics to fit Jessica.

She then ran over to Casey, Elizabeth, Molly and I and grabbed all of our arms and pulled us over to the stage and we harmonized.
"GIRL! You're such a backstabber!"
Molly added "Stabber."
We all danced around then sang once again,
"Oh girl! You're such a bad talker!"
We didn't want to swear, actually.
"And everybody knows it" Callie sang.
"Girl your such a backstabber" We all sang.
"Run your mouth more than anyone I've ever known. And everybody knows it, everybody knows it." Callie sang then excused us all and we went back over to our seats.
I looked at Callie's best friend, Peter,
and he was smiling and acting like he knew this was all going to happen.

Typical, Callie.

Then Callie sang "BACKSTABBER!" Then posed.

We all stood up and clapped, even Tyler clapped, then Jessica slapped him on the stomach and he stopped, but he smiled at Callie.

Mrs. Hodge smiled and said "Great job, Callie! An unlikely mash-up, but an entertaining one, all the same! Okay next up, Molly!"

Callie walked back to her seat next to Peter and shot me a smile, I returned it and turned to Molly and smiled. She nodded her head to me and skipped up to the front of the room and defiantly sang Poker Face.

After the performance I ran and hugged her. "Good job! Good job!" Elizabeth and I chorused. Molly thanked us and before I knew it, it was mine and Elizabeth's turn.

"Let's rock the world, Liz." I smiled.
We high fived and she nodded for Cindie to put in our Gaga/Beyonce CD.

The intro music started and it looked like Elizabeth was a bundle of nerves. I gave her a side hug and she sang;
"Hello, Hello baby you called I can't hear a thing.
I have got no service in the club you see, see.
What-what-what did you say? Oh, you're breakin' up on me.
Sorry I cannot hear you, I'm kinda busy.
K-kinda busy
K-kinda busy
sorry I cannot hear you, I'm kinda busy." She sang amazingly.
We danced and she sang again;
"Just a second it's my favorite song they gonna play.
And I cannot text you with a drink in my hand, eh.
You shoulda made some plans with me, you knew that I was free.
And know you won't stop callin' me, I'm kinda busy."

Then we danced like they did in the music video, I felt good dancing in front of the chorus and it looked like Lizzie felt the same way.

"Stop Callin'!
Stop Callin'!
I don't wanna think anymore.
I left my head and my heart on the dancefloor!
Stop Callin', stop callin'!
I don't wanna talk anymore.
I left my head and my heart on the dancefloor!"
eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh!
Stop telephoning' me-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh.
I'm busy.
Stop telephoning' me." We spun around each other, something we added then harmonized;
"You can call if you want but there's no one home
and you're not gonna reach my telephone."
Then she sang solo;
"'Cause I'm out in the club, and I'm sippin that bubb
and you're not gonna reach my telephone"
I joined her to sing;
"You can call if you want but there's no one home
and you're not gonna reach my telephone.
'Cause I'm out in the club, and I'm sippin that bubb
and you're not gonna reach my telephone"

Then I took center stage and sang as if my life depended on it;
"Boy the way you blowin' up my phone won't make me leave no faster.
Put my coat on faster. Leave my girls no faster"
Lizzie and I locked arms, like we did the day we got sprayed by Nathan and Jake.
"I shoulda left my phone at home
'cause this is a disaster! Callin' like a collector, sorry I cannot answer!"
I finished.

"It's not that I don't like you,
I'm just at a party
and I am sick and tired of
my phone r-ring-ing." She sang.

"Sometimes I feel like
I live in Grand Central Station,
Tonight I'm not takin' no calls,
'cause I'll be dancin'." I sang

then we started jumping up and down but still kept in tone;
"'Cause I'll be dancin',
'Cause I'll be dancin'
Tonight I'm not takin' no calls 'cause I'll be dancing!"

At the end of the song confetti shot out from the ceiling.

"Did we win?" Elizabeth asked.

"YES! You ALL won!" Mrs. Hodge exclaimed.

"Huh?" We all asked in unison.

"You all just completed your first assignment! Congratulations!" Mrs. Hodge nearly sang.

"What's our next assignment?" Molly questioned.

"It is...... Oh man! I forgot it in my purse, I'll be right back!" Mrs. Hodge ran out of the room to her room to collect her purse.

"Great job Peach!" Nathan exclaimed and then picked me up while hugging me.
"Thanks!" I smiled.

I looked around, everything seemed so..... normal.

I was hugging Nathan,
Callie and Peter were laughing hysterically,
Jake and Elizabeth were practicing their dance steps for our competition and Jake made Elizabeth laugh,
Jessica and Tyler were still exes, but I hate them both so I don't care,
Molly and Keith were scowling at each other because they are enemies,
and Casey and Ryan were trying to act like they didn't like each other, but everyone knows except them.

"I GOT IT!" Mrs. Hodge exclaimed and everyone turned to her.
"OPEN IT, MRS. H!" Nathan exclaimed.
"It's........" Mrs. Hodge smiled.

We all leaned it.

"DUETS!" She yelled!
We all smiled and said "YAY!"

"We will pick partners tomorrow. It's time to go, my little Gaga's and Biebers! See ya tomorrow!" Mrs. Hodge said.

"BYE MRS. HODGE!" We all said as we gathered our things and left AGPPA.

Sing! *Part One*

"This is it" I sighed to myself as I got into my blue Beyonce-style ensemble. I walked out of the bathroom stall and got a glance of Callie.

"Wow, Callie! You look really pretty!" I complemented.
"Really? I don't like it." She muttered.
"I'm sure Tyler will" Molly walked up behind her and assured.
Callie's baby blue eyes lit up just at the mention of his eyes.
"COME ON MOLLY! LET'S GO!" Callie yelled as she pulled Molly out of the girls' bathroom.
"See ya in the chorus room!" Molly exclaimed then left with Callie.

I decided to wait for Elizabeth, who was finishing up her math test in Mrs. Jones' room.
I walked back into a stall that had a mirror and looked at myself in it.
"That stupid Callie girl thinks she's going to get MY man." A voice said.
"Wait, Jessica, you and Tyler aren't a couple anymore!" Another voice replied.
"Yeah, you said you hated his guts." Yet ANOTHER voice added.

I peeked through the crack in the bathroom door to find Jessica and her two clones, Jaylin and Janessa.
I silently gasped because Jessica had seemed so nice! She even invited me to her birthday party.

But am I going anymore? Heck no.

Before I could bust out of the stall and say something, Jessica spoke up;
"Well, she'll probably be making googly eyes at Tyler the whole time she sings her song in Chorus."
"He'll probably be like 'OMG'" Jaylin added and they all snickered.

I wanted to kill them all, that was my SISTER they were talking about.

"Ahh well I better get in my Gaga costume for chorus. See ya later. Love ya" Jessica said as she blew a kiss.
"Love ya!" They mimicked and exited.

I opened the door and gave Jessica my best death stare.
"Prudence! Hey! I LOVE your Beyonce cos-" She said in a fake sugary sweet voice.
"Save it." I hissed.
"What ever do you mean?" She asked acting innocent.
"You're a two-faced witch!" Except I didn't say witch....
She just stared at me incredulously.
"You act nice one minute, then you're talking behind people's backs the next." I added.
"Whatever Prudence, your sister Callie was always too fat to be in MY chorus." She rolled her eyes and walked to the stall.
I grabbed her arm and spun her around.
"Okay let's get this straight,
One, CALLIE IS NOT FAT. Hon, she's skinnier than you.
and TWO, Callie is a better person NOW than you will EVER BE.
Oh and Three,.." I slapped her across the face and huffed away.

I'll tell you all about the actual chorus performance's later.

Friday, November 12, 2010

"LADY GAGA?!" Callie exclaimed when we got home from Chorus, Mrs. Hodge gave us our first assignment which was Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, so needless to say, Callie wasn't very happy.
"What's wrong?" I questioned.
She turned to me and said "I don't know a SINGLE song from her."

Oh no.

"B-but you're singing Monster!" I exclaimed.
"Oh Pru, who am I kidding? Elizabeth was listening to that song and I just decided 'hey let's sing THAT song.'"
She then bolted to her room and yelled

whoa, whoa, TYLER?!

"Aww poor Cals." Molly sighed while walking to the door.
"Where you going?" I wondered.
"To go get my Gaga costume, get Callie." She ordered then grabbed her black and grey purse.

I went to Callie's room and knocked on the door;
"Cal, you in here?" I asked, searching for my sister.
"Yeah." She sniffled and was standing in her closet.
"You need a Gaga costume?" I wondered.

We arrived at Magic Costume Shoppe about 15 minutes later.
Molly smiled at the sight of the shoppe and ran inside, while her cousin had to be dragged.
"NO NO NO NO!" Callie furiously yelled.
"YES!" I replied and pushed her in the shoppe.
"Whoa." We gushed in unison.

Thousands and thousands of costumes were on every wall.
Some were sparkly, some were bright, others were colorful
and they ALL were amazing.

We went to Molly, who was perusing an area that was called "Famous"
"Have you seen any Gaga costumes?" I asked.
"OH MY GOSH, LOOK!" Molly exclaimed pulling out a costume that looked like;

"I'll take that as a yes." I mumbled.
"This is SO my Poker Face Costume." She exclaimed looking at the sparkly ensemble.
"Well, we won't find one for m-" Callie was cut off as I threw a costume at her that looked like;

"No." Callie immediatley commented as soon as she got a glance of the outfit.
"Yes." I said "It even comes with the wig like Molly's!"
"Fine." Callie slumped off.

"Now I need a Beyonce costume." I said to no one in particular.
"Well, let's find one!" Molly exclaimed and we began our search for my Telephone costume.
I'm singing Beyonce's part of Telephone and my friend Elizabeth is going to be Lady Gaga.
"I hope Lizzie's having better luck looking for a Gaga costume." I sighed.
"No, I'm not." A very familiar voice said.
I looked up and there was Elizabeth.
"Hey!" I exclaimed
"Hi!" She replied and we hugged.
When we pulled away she asked "I looked around the WHOLE store, I can't find ANYTHING."
We both sighed, then I got an idea.

"SONALI!" I exclaimed.
"huh?" Callie, Molly, and Elizabeth were obviously confused.
"Sonali can make our Gaga and Beyonce outfits, Lizzie!" I explained.
"Ooooh!" They all replied.
"Callie and I will go buy the costumes, you go home and ask Nali." Molly ordered and we went our separate ways.

"I think we should practice the song." Elizabeth offered.
"Yeah! SING LIZZIE GAGA SING!" I exclaimed.
She did what I said;
"Hello, Hello, Baby. You called I can't hear a thing.
I have got no service in the club you see see.
Wha-Wha-What did you say, are you breakin' up on me?
Sorry I cannot hear you;
I'm kinda busy. K-kinda busy. K-Kinda busy, sorry I cannot hear you.
I'm kinda busy."

She sang flawlessly then took a breath and began it again.

"Just a second it's my favorite song they're gonna play. And I cannot text you with a drink in my hand, eh.
You shoulda made some plans with me, you knew that I was free.
And now you won't stop callin' me.
I'm Kinda busy."

"Stop Callin'! Stop Callin'! I don't wanna think anymore.
I got my head and my heart on the dance floor!
Stop Callin' Stop Callin'! I don't wanna talk anymore,
I got my head and my heart on the dance floor!
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
Stop telephonin' me-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh!
I'm busy!
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh!
Stop telephonin' me
eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh.

Can call all you want, but there's no one home and you're not gonna reach my telephone.
I'm out in the club and I'm sippin' that bubb, and you're not gonna reach my telephone.
Call when you want but there's no one home and you're not gonna reach my telephone.
Out in the club and I'm sippin' that bubb and you're not gonna reach my telephone." She sang perfectly and danced.

I opened my mouth and rapped/sang;
"Boy the way you blowin' up my phone
won't make me leave no faster.
Put my coat on faster,
leave my girls no faster." We locked arms.
"I shoulda left my phone at home, 'cause this is a disaster!
Callin' like a collect er, sorry I cannot answer." I sang.

"Not that I don't like you, I'm just at a party,
and I am sick and tired of my phone r-ring-ing."
She sang.

"Sometimes I feel like I live in Grand Central Station.
Tonight I'm not takin' no calls 'cause I'll be dancin!"
I sang and danced around.

"'Cause I'll be dancin'
'Cause I'll be dancin'" We harmonized.

"Tonight I'm not taking no calls 'cause I'll be danc- STOP!" We both yelled as two figures sprang up from behind a bush and sprayed us with water guns.

"Gosh, it's FREEZING out!" Elizabeth shivered.
"Who did that?" I asked, furiously.

Out of the shadows, came none other than, Nathan and Jake.
"REALLY?!" I screamed.
"Now, Peach. Calm down." He advised.
"Calm down? CALM DOWN?! HOW CAN I CALM DOWN?! I WAS JUST SPRAYED BY MY BOYFRIEND IN 50 DEGREE WEATHER. WHAT ARE YOU? SEVEN?!" I yelled then ran inside my house with Elizabeth following close behind.

Sonali made our costumes which look like;

Elizabeth was squealing with joy, while I was seething with rage.

What caused Nathan to do that?
Why did he do it?

Those questions buzzed in my head, and on Monday I will answer them.
