Annabelle and Apoligies

"MAIL CALL!" Callie's voice filled my room. I jumped up and ran to the mailbox and pulled out all of the things inside it.

"Marisol Luna, Marisol Luna, Jess McConnell, Molly McIntire, Marisol Luna" I named off who the letters were addressed to, then I came across...
"PRUDENCE?!" I read in disbelief, then when I went to see it's return address (that's who also wrote it) it said...

I screamed and jumped up and down.
I haven't heard from Sonny and Kenna since I was adopted by Melanie in July.
I nearly forgot the fight that was going on between Abbey and I.
I ran inside, tossed all of the other mail on the kitchen counter and zoomed to my room. After ripping open the envelope I read;

Dear Prudence,
Sonny; HAHAHA that was a name of a song!
Kenna; Shut up Son, Pru probably knows that.
Sonny; some one's happy today. Well anyways WE MISS YOU SO MUCH!
Kenna; yeah, it's CRAZY. The girls here haven't changed, oh and Ivy says 'hello'
Sonny; Everything's been fine EXCEPT there is a big Prudence-sized hole in our world since you left.
Kenna; True that, True that.
Sonny; Oh and that was Kenna's failure at trying to be 'modern'
Kenna; gee thanks, Sons. ANYHOW, there is this new girl, she is a JLY #35 and her name is Annabelle. She is SO NICE! I'll give you the details of us meeting miss Annabelle.
"Sonny, what are we going to do today?" I asked Sonny.
"I think we should go jump off the rocky mountains, do you think I know?" Sonny was always sarcastic.
We were just sitting in Sonny's box and Sonny was about to say something when we heard.
"HA HA! We're going to call you Anna-FAIL." Then a bunch of snobbish giggles.
I turned to see Riley, the 'queen' #35, tormenting another little #35.
Sonny heard this too because after their giggles died down, Sonny stood up and said "Hey, Riley, Guess what?!"
This could not be good.
Riley rolled her eyes and asked "What ALISON"
Sonny narrowed her eyes, she hates her real name more then she hates Riley, and that is saying something.
Then she replied "Well, RILEY-SON. I don't think it is nice of you to pick on poor little..." Sonny stopped, then little #35 spoke up
"Annabelle Martin.. My name is Annabelle Martin."
Riley rolled her eyes and then said "You know what, you three LOSERS can talk, because I'm done with you.... for now." Then Riley stormed off.
Sonny called to her "GOODBYE, YOUR MAJESTY!"
Annabelle giggled "Thank you for standing up for me, but you didn't have to do that."
It was my turn to talk now. "Yeah we did, Riley shouldn't be mean to anyone. She probably wasn't brought up right."
Sonny used one of her 'Sonny-isms' "Yeah, I mean the crazy apple don't fall far from the crazy tree."
Annabelle and I giggled. Then Annabelle spoke "Was she always this mean?"
Sonny and I exchanged a look, then turned "Yeah, Pretty Much"
Annabelle sighed. "Great..."
Sonny reassured her "Hey, Annie don't worry. One day, she'll get adopted and she will be out of your copper-red hair"
Annabelle smiled a little. "Thanks.... uh.... What was your names again?"
Sonny piped up "Alison Scarlet, at your service, but you can call me Sonny. After the song 'Here Comes the Sun'"
Typical Sonny, never letting anyone know her last name. "I'm McKenna Beth Walters, but you can call me Kenna." I smiled.
Annabelle's eyes lit up "WAIT, you like the Beatles?"
Sonny said "Hon, try LOVE THE BEATLES"
I added "L-O-V-E"
Annabelle said "I love them too, I used to listen to them everyday on my record player."
Sonny and I gaped "WHAT YEAR ARE YOU FROM?" We asked-yelled in unison.
We exchanged a look, then turned to her
"That. Is. So. COOOOOOOOOOOOL!" I yelled, and held the 'o' in 'cool' far too long.
For the rest of the day, we were trying on clothes, introducing miss Martin to all of our historical friends and just getting to know each other.
Sonny; Do you like her Pru?
Kenna; you'd LOVE HER if you met her!
Sonny; Uh oh, we have to go.
Kenna; Yeah, we better get this letter sent!

<3 Kenna and Sonny

I read the letter and couldn't stop smiling.
They remember me was my initial thought

"Annabelle seems nice"
I jumped, then turned to find Abbey.
"Was I reading that out loud?" I questioned.
"Yes" She replied without a second thought.
"Oh..." I trailed off.
"Prudence, I just came here to say I was sorry. I mean, Jackie is YOUR friend, so why should I get in the way of that?" Abbey said, she was looking like she could burst into tears at any moment.
"Well, Abbey. You were right. She wasn't a good friend." I sighed.
"WHAT?!" Abbey yelled.
"She was talking about me behind my back."
"She won't be doing that anymore." Abbey said, her hazel eyes were sparkling with mischief.
"So are we friends again?" She asked.
"Friends? No. Best friends? Yes" I smiled.
"YAY!" Abbey screamed, pulling me in for a hug.

I had my best friend back :)

Good Day, Sunshine.

"COME ON GIRLS! WE HAVE TO GO" Molly said, pushing all of us out of our house.
"Wow Molly, pushy aren't we today?" Callie said, sarcastically.

Molly narrowed her eyes at Callie and Cindie giggled quietly.
"Come on Molls, why do we ALL have to go to your vocal lessons?" Chrissa whined.
"Because, I want you all to meet my vocal coach." Molly said, in the taxi on our way to the vocal studio.

We all got out of the car and Marisol payed the taxi driver.
Molly ran inside with Julie, leaving the rest of us in the dust.
I mouthed the words 'I'm Sorry' to Abbey, but all I got in return was Abbey glaring at me. The remaining eight of us walked inside and followed Molly. When we arrived where Molly gets taught, I looked around. It was a small room, but it had a bunch of pictures plastered on the wall of musical artists. Then a sing-song voice entered the room.
"Molly!" Someone sang flawlessly. I turned to see a woman, in her late 20's or early 30's with a blond bob and big brown eyes, running and hugging Molly. Molly introduced her to us as "Ms. Anna"
After we introduced ourselves Ms. Anna asked us
"Girls, do any of you sing?" and we all just looked around.
"No, Ms. Anna, I'm the only singer in the bunch." Molly said with pride.
Ms. Anna nodded, "I see, well does anyone want to sing a song for me?"
Sonali and I both raised our hands.
Ms. Anna picked Sonali to go first.
Sonali whispered in Ms. Anna's ear, and Ms. Anna's eyes lit up.
Ms. Anna motioned for Molly to go to the front of the room and then she whispered in her ear, Molly seemed excited and ran and pressed a button on the iHome on Ms. Anna's desk.
We all sat down and didn't know what to expect.

The intro to Taylor Swift's 'I Heart ?' played through the speakers.

my first thoughts were;
WAIT, when did Sonali start listening to Taylor Swift?!

She sang amazingly, every one's jaws hit the floor, Chrissa and Molly looked at her proudly and Ms. Anna stood in awe. We all clapped, and shouted "WOO!" or "NALI!!"

Sonali smiled and bowed, then made her way back to sitting next to Chrissa and Cindie. "Bravo!" Ms. Anna shouted, then turned to me. "Now what would you like to sing, Prudence?" I wondered, then came up with a great idea. I got up, walked over to her and whispered "Good Day Sunshine By The Beatles, Please." She smiled and nodded then went to go play the song. I was going to sing Abbey's favorite song to show her just how sorry I was. The intro played and Abbey looked like she was forcing back a smile. I opened my mouth to sing "Good Day Sunshine" and every one's eyes grew, was I good? Was I bad? Did I have toilet paper stuck to my shoe? I didn't know and it was aggravating me.

After I finished the song, everyone clapped and cheered. Abbey looked a little sad, but then she beamed. Ms. Anna was clapping thunderously "Good Job, Prudence! I love that song, and you did a fantastic job singing it!" She applauded. "Thank you, Ms. Anna" I replied then sat back down next to Marisol and Julie.

After all of that, we had to go home. We all piled into the taxi and asked the taxi driver to play the radio. He hit the button and the sound of "Good Day Sunshine" filled my ears once again.

It had been a good day.

Battle of the Best Friends

Tensions rising.
Frustration building.
A slight depression increasing.

The only thing falling?
My tears.

Why am I crying?
Abbey and Jackie have apparently hated each other since the day Abbey came to AGPPA.

Was I aware of this?
Should I have been?

The line was crossed in first period, Spanish.
I sat on the right side of the room, in a table with Marisol, Cindie, Abbey and myself.

Jackie, who was seated on the other side of the room, raised her hand. Our teacher, Senora Wilamza called on her.
"Yes, Jackie?"
Jackie shot an evil smile towards Abbey and asked,
"How do you say 'Freaky Go Green Girl' in Spanish?" Jackie asked.
Abbey, who I was sitting by, slid back in her chair a little.
Then after Senora Wilamza gave Jackie the translation, Abbey's hand flew up.
"Yes, Abbey?"
Abbey turned to me, then Marisol, then to Cindie, then finally said.
"May I go to the school nurse?"
I immediately started thinking NURSE?! WHY DOES SHE WANT TO GO THERE?!
"Oh, okay. Feel better, oh and Prudence, could you go along with her?" Senora Wilamza asked of me.
"Sure" I said while getting up and walking my best friend to the nurse's office.

We walked in silence for a while, the silence was deafening.
She broke the silence.
"Great, now she will be able to insult me in another language." Referring to the question Jackie had asked Senora Wilamza.
"Abbey, I swear, I didn't know you two were enemies, if I had known I'd never have been her friend." I sighed.
"But you're still friends with her, that's what makes me mad." She replied.
"Only because she's the only one besides our family and Rebecca and Julie from the Internet who has been nice to me!" I yelled.
Yup, we were screaming our heads off in the middle of the hallway.
"SHE'S ONLY MY FRIEND, YOUR MY BEST FRIEND, AND YOU KNOW THAT!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
"WELL, YOU KNOW WHAT?! NOW SHE CAN BE YOUR BEST FRIEND." She screamed then huffed away.

I didn't have a best friend anymore,
and it was all thanks to Jacqueline Wilson.

Lovely Jackie

"Get out of my way, four eyes."

Wow, kids are really mean to the new kid, A.K.A, Me.

This is how my Friday went at school.

I went to my locker to grab my Science book, and this medium height, blue-eyed girl with curly caramel colored hair came up to me and asked, "Are you Prudence Farrow?" Her blue eyes were twinkling a little
"Yeah, why are you asking?" No one, besides my sisters, called me Prudence at this school. It was either 'New Girl' or 'Four Eyes.'
"You left this in art class" She said, holding out my lucky bracelet.
"Oh, Thank you! How did you know it was mine?" I asked.
"I saw you showing your sisters it." She replied. I had been showing Chrissa and Jess where Starburst, Chrissa's pet llama, had bit it earlier that day. "Oh, I see. Well thank-you! Most kids would just throw it away when they found out it belonged to the new girl." I sighed.
"Yeah, the kids here aren't mean to all the new kids, just some. OH! I forgot to tell you, but I'm Jackie." She smiled.
"It's nice to meet you Jackie. I hope you don't mind me asking, but what year are you from?" I asked, and Jackie's face got even more happy.
"Oh, well I am actually a time traveler, I can go anywhere from 1970 to 1770." She beamed.
The first thing that came to my mind when she said 'time traveler' was, 'LUCKY!'
"That's so cool! What is your favorite year you have lived in so far?" I asked, getting more interested in the conversation by the moment.
She looked like she was thinking, but then she finally said, "I really liked the American Revolution."
I smiled "That's cool! So when Mrs. Groudna [our History Teacher] teaches us about it, you'll have already lived through it!"
She laughed, "Yeah! What year are you from, Prudence?"
"I'm from 2010, but my best friend, Abbey Holland, and I, say we are girls from the 1960's who got stuck in a time machine and ended up in modern day." We both had to laugh at that. "You know, I've been to the 1960's. They were another one of my favorite decades to live in."

Gosh, this girl is getting luckier by the second.

"What year were you in?" I asked.
"1968 and a little of 1969." She sighed, probably missing being in the '60's.
"Oh MY GOSH! YOU ARE SO LUCKY!" I tried not to yell, but I failed.
"I take it you like the later 1960's, huh?"
"YES YES YES!" I nodded like a five-year-old
"Cool!" Jackie smiled, then we headed for Science Class, but not before she said,
"Prudence, I think we're going to be great friends."

So maybe school isn't that bad.
